Although the US have long been loving and raving over this foundation, and have since moved on to newer things, it has only recently launched 'Down Under'. Also, works well to fill in fine lines and wrinkles and give skin a plump look (of course that is only temporary, but still, it's nice).

The first time I had worn Pro-Glow I had followed my usual skin care regimen but the second time I had been lazy and skipped a couple of steps and that made all the difference. It is so natural and lightweight, yet covers everything that needs to be covered without feeling cakey or looking super obvious. I personally really like this packaging; it makes it easy to control the amount of product being used in a very sanitary way.

I have the shade ‘107 – Fresh Beige’, which is way too orange for my skin, so I just had to try to make it work. With the removal of excess air and water, products require less packaging and become more efficient to dispatch. With it freshly applied I’d say I’m more of a 205 and naturally without definitely one of the paler shades. But fear not beauty fans because the make-up aficionados of Reddit have just crowned this high street foundation their all-time favourite. L’Oreal describes Pro-Glow as an air-light foundation with medium coverage and a radiant finish with up to 24 hours of wear time.

Containing SPF 15, this foundation gives me a sheer to medium coverage, which is buildable, and comes in a tube with a cap that can be removed. Described as a medium coverage foundation, Pro-Glow promises a pretty impressive 24 hour wear time for a 'natural, healthy glow' that is ideal for people with normal to dry skin. It appears neutral with perhaps a hint of yellow but as I rub the foundation into my skin you can really start to see the pinkness of the foundation coming forth. It provides a solid full coverage with the first layer, which is amazing for easily concealing redness, acne, or any other imperfections. There are 12 different shades and they are definitely geared more towards light to medium skin tones.

As I mentioned before, I have dry skin and this feels very hydrating without emphasizing any dry patches. I’ve very curious how well this foundation will perform in the winter when my skin is a bit drier and in need of hydration. Its moisturizing ability is comparable to glycerin itself and the two together work in synergy to give skin superb hydration. I usually gravitate toward a matte foundation but recently have been loving a little bit more of a luminous and natural look. The rest of my makeup applied very nicely on top of this foundation as it was not super tacky feeling.

Currently causing base hysteria Stateside is L’Oreal Infallible Pro-Glow Foundation so I need to say ahead that this isn’t available in the UK and nor is it currently on their schedule to launch here in 2017 (yes, I checked). Similar to other microsphere powders, it can scatter the light to give products a soft focus or blurring effect.

As a super dry gal, I reach for my dewier foundations on my driest days, and reserve this for my better skin days, as it isn't as hydrating as some of my other options. I hope L’Oreal keeps it around for a good long while and expands the shade range so more people have a chance to try it. The True Match Lumi ended up being the least matte of that lot but all three foundations were quite matte on me and tended to get even more matte as the day wore on. Its too heavy for my skin in the winter and it looks cakey if I layer too much but overall its my favorite of the three.

The drawback of mined minerals is potential impurities and the version used in cosmetics has to be white (not gray like cheaper grades), free from asbestos, sterilized and have thin plates for a maximum slip. I wanted to make sure I had the time to really give you informational content and not some 5 minuet mess of a post, Quality over Quantity xoxo. It has great oil and sebum absorption (aka mattifying) abilities and can also act as a thickening agent in the oil phase of a formula.Obviously, I have not tried wearing this foundation for 24 hours, but it does last an extremely long amount of time and looks better throughout the day. But the second time I wore it I was disappointed because it looked a lot more matte and got even more so as time passed.
