This is a digitally reproduced facsimile of thi fmous medical refeence book, The illustrations are very clear bith becasue of the digital reproduction and also the large size of the images. Written in the 1850s when its author was a young doctor, Gray's Anatomy was the most comprehensive and accessible medical textbook of its time. The newest (2015) and the 41 st edition of Gray's Anatomy is a mirror on the explosion of medical knowledge that has occurred over the past 8 years since the 40 th edition was published. I am not finished with it yet, still taking notes on the cardiovascular system but can't wait to read the other body systems.HENRY GRAY (1827-1861) was a renowned British anatomist who studied at St George\'s Hospital Medical School in London. I., Extraordinary Professor, Dept of Anatomy, University of Pretoria, South Africa, Examiner, MRCS, Royal College of Surgeons (UK), Family Practitioner, London, UK;; Stephen W. Uses more than 1,000 innovative original illustrations— by renowned illustrators Richard Tibbitts and Paul Richardson—to capture anatomical features with unrivalled clarity, and makes body structures easy to locate and remember from one illustration to another through consistent use of color. The book should serve as a guide to anyone writing any type of prose, since the key to good literature is always clarity and precision.

I'm not a doctor, which is why I'm writing this: part of Gray's appeal is that it's readable by anyone who wants a better understanding of anatomy if they're prepared to put in the effort. Dissecting unclaimed bodies from workhouse and hospital mortuaries through the Anatomy Act of 1832, the two worked for 18 months on what would form the basis of the book. The text, while it explains complex connections and concepts in their Latinate terminology, is in fact beautifully simple, straightforward sentences in logical sequence. Helps you visualize key concepts with updated radiographic and ultrasound images and extensive use of photographs.Okay, so I may not have read it from cover to cover in a single continuous attempt but I am certain that I have at one time or another, perused each and every page. The first American publication of the illustrated medical anatomy text commonly referred to as Gray's Anatomy. I found the JG Press copy of Grey's Anatomy a few years ago at a used book sale and could not put it down.
